There’s a new song on country radio right now that grabbed me the very first time I heard it.  It’s the kind of song you hear once and it instantly becomes your new favorite.

When I saw the video I liked it even more!  The song is Florida Georgia Line’s “Dirt”.

It’ all about hard work, love, and some of the simpler things in life.

It had thinking back and remembering good times in my life the same way Miranda Lambert’s song “Automatic” did.  It reminded me of my Grandparent’s garden, walking beans, riding a bean bar, and detasseling corn.

“Dirt” is definitely a song anyone with ties to farming can relate to but I wonder if it has the same impact on someone who grew up in a city or in another country.  (If that’s you… you’ll have to leave a comment and let me know.)

If you haven’t heard the song or watched the video I urge you to give it a view and let me know what you think.  What memories does it bring up for you?
