Don’t Forget To Dream

Kids are natural dreamers.  Everything is possible to them.  The world hasn’t gotten in their way yet telling them what they can or can’t do.

In a way I envy kids and their ability to dream.  It seems as I got older I stopped dreaming and started focusing on a career, kids, and my family.

Learning to dream again is something I’m working on.  I like to spend some quiet time each week just letting my mind wander.  It’s kind of fun, actually, thinking about different goals or new ideas.

It’s also a relaxing exercise that can turn a bad mood around fairly quickly.

I recently ran across a quote that lays out one of the benefits of dreaming.  It’s from Tony A. Gaskins Jr. who said:

I don’t know about you but I’d rather build my own dream.

Do you dream as much as an adult as you did as a kid?
