I read an interesting blog post recently by John Henry Müller titled: If You Do This And Only This, Today Will Be A Good Day. In it he describes his simple technique to prioritize and feel like he accomplished something at the end of the day.
Today I spent many of my spare thoughts on that post and on the concept of what makes a good day. It’s something I’ve never really spent much time thinking about.
Sure, there are some days that I get to the end of the day and say to myself, “Today was a good day”… but if I’m being totally honest, most of my days under current review aren’t good or bad… they just are.
I have a tendency to go through my days on autopilot without much thought, blinders on, directed by the calendar and tasks at hand.
In an effort to be more intentional about the “quality” of my days I decided to make a list of a few things that, in my opinion, would make a good day.
5 Things That Make A Good Day
If I’ve said something or done something that makes my family know I love them… it will have been a good day.
If I’ve learned something new… it will have been a good day.
If I’ve felt needed… it will have been a good day.
If I’ve made others feel needed… it will have been a good day.
If I can look back at the day’s decisions and not regret any of them… it will have been a good day.If I don't laugh at least 20 times a day, it hasn't been a good day. - Jordan Sparks Click To Tweet
